We are a group of Ghanaian specialists and concerned citizens sensitive to the accuracy of data and information.

We are living in a world where the phenomenon of fake news grew out of proportion and we choose to find a way to assess the quality of information for the general public.

Although fake news as a phenomenon has a multitude of sources and distribution channels, we choose to focus mainly on political elite and government disinformation because, in our view, when politicians spread lies, especially those who hold power, democracy is under a direct threat.

As Ghanaians, we focus mainly on Ghana and Ghanaian officials, but, when necessary, we do analyze wider topics and trends in West Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
